Hollow Lantern

Hollow Lantern is a short, atmospheric adventure you tap your way through. You're a lamplighter relighting an empty town, solving gentle environmental puzzles and piecing together what happened to the people who left. It's more about feeling than challenge.

The art and sound do heavy lifting here. Rain on cobblestones, a flickering lamp, a music box in a locked room. Puzzles are logical and never obtuse, so you're never stuck staring at the screen hating the designer.

It's maybe three hours long and there's little reason to replay, so value depends on what you want. But as a single calm evening with your phone, it's lovely. One of those games you recommend by just handing someone your phone.
